Celebrity is a kind of heat. But Ember Room — a sprawling two-story space made up as a cross between a woodshed and a cool place in Midtown where you can buy temple bells — is really the work of Ace Watanasuparp and Chatchai Huadwattana, cousins and serial restaurateurs with a bunch of businesses to their names, including Michael Hyunh’s Obao, and Spot Dessert Bar. It is in some ways their biggest play: a nightclubbish Asian-fusion spot with an atmosphere that runs to cocktails, flirty behavior and clothes that are worn rather tighter than generally observed in the corporate workplace.
