Via dei Mille, New York

Named after shop-and-restaurant lined-streets found throughout Italy, Via Dei Mille is a joint venture from nightlife vets Barry Mullineaux and Giuseppe Tuosto. Though the Northern Italian eatery has a causal vibe with its over-sized mirrors and white-washed brick walls, (ok, ok so they've also got crystal chandeliers and pricey paintings on display and for sale), the joint most certainly doesn't lack when it comes to scenesters. The fact that you'll find no shortage of high-heels, mini-dresses, and polo-clad men mingling around the dimly-lit, rustic setting which include wooden chairs and tables and comes complete with pumping beats, makes Via Dei Mille feel somewhat like an Italian take on Balthazar. Luckily the prices aren't as steep. While most of the drinks go for $14 (including Sangria and over a dozen other – very strong – cocktails), the eats aren't all too pricey with most appetizers going for $12 and entrees for $20.
