I was in this club on new years eve have fun with a few friend when I was in the rest room two of the employees came in pulled me out and told me I was intoxicated and was walked out when i asked why i was asked to leave i got no answer once out side I was not allowed to get me coat I keep askeing to either allow me to get my coat or get my girlfriend inside so we may leave one of the men turned and pushed me in an assult to the ground landing on my back i felt a sharp paine and have not been able to work or move , I admit I was intoxicated but most everyone in the club was . I had not touch him . I notice several web cams on wharf street if anyone know how to access them i would really appreciate it .

I am from Boston but have been to this club probably about 10 times, as I have a friend who lives in Portland and frequents the club . I have noticed varying degrees of racism. One of my black male friends was not allowed to enter because of dress code (his pants were no more baggy than any white males). Last night I went there with my black girlfriend and her black boyfriend and my white husband..I am also white. Immediately a security guard started watching my friend and her boyfriend. He began to tell us throughout the night that we needed to move..."to clear the vip section" or to "clear the stairway"- mind you he didnt tell anyone else in the area to move. He began walking over to us a few times then turned away, but proceeded to watch us. Later in the night he said the boyfriend was too drunk and needed to leave. Yes he was..it's a club. He was no more drunk than anyone else. The boyfriend was kicked out and my black girlfriend was physically escorted out..not intoxicated. My husband and I were not told to leave even though we did. The overt racism and racial profiling that are practices of this club and their security are disgusting. Visitors to Maine with preconceived notions of how racist Mainers are will not be disappointed. I will never visit this place again.

One good thing about the internet for you is that you are free to publish anything you want. Considering you were one of the involved parties we welcome your scrutiny but it's obvious that you're biased. We are one of the most strict clubs in regards to both people allowed in and accepted behavior. We were the first (now there are a few that have followed) to impliment a dress code and code of conduct in the area. Many people gave us criticism as they thought it was over the top for Maine. We also have more security than most clubs that follow a stricter than normal routine of maintaining the peace. People typically have more issues with us being strict as we want a quality clientelle instead of constant troublemakers. Unfortunately your party was part of the issue. I've rechecked both our security cameras and logs, and it shows that our security acted swiftly and in a professional manner. As of that date both ladies and their associated parties have been banned and we wish you well.

It is with DISMAY I witnessed an attack on an innocent bystander and security nor cops did a thing to stop it on 4/10/09. I do not drink, I was at this club as a designated driver when the attack occured. Five cops responded only 2 were taking information as the VICTIM, who did not know the attacker bled on her face. She was attacked with a glass, cutting her face open for no appearant reason. The club's security did absolutely NOTHING to stop the attack. I feel this club is racist as the victim is Asian and the attacker White female. I would stay away from this club if you're of another ethnicity other than being WHiTE, as it's a WHITE'S CLUB! Attorney General should investigate these attacks that have no merit. It's SCARY to think one is going out for a good time and come out getting attacked for no reason. Victim didn't know the attacker!
