On the ground floor of a Hollywood high rise is another recent entry in this less-than-cutthroat late-night late night dining race. Featuring a full service bar upstairs (with normal bar hours) and an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch favorites until 4am on the weekends, The Waffle has quickly become a local favorite. They take their name seriously, offering concoctions from a cream cheese-frosted Carrot Cake Waffle to a truly outrageous Cornmeal Jalapeño Waffle topped with a fried chicken breast and smothered in sausage gravy. Less experimental dishes round out a menu with prices that you might grumble at if you were sober, but you’re probably drunk if you’re considering that jalapeno waffle anyways.
