New Orleans Mardi Gras Grandstands New Orleans

My family and I purchased 7 tickets for the reviewing stands in the 600 block of St. Charles Avenue for the Bacchus parade. Being from New Orleans I wouldn't normaly have done this, but we thought it would be different. Our tickets were $25.85 a piece. The "officer" taking the tickets and letting us in the stands took our tickets and every other white person's but than began letting in some 50 or more black families for free! When the "oficer" was approached by a "white" person regarding this, he replied, "Be quiet or I will put you out!" I will never sit in these stands again!
