terrible service, poor food
the people in front of us did not have a reservation and were told they'd have a 5 minute wait. we were on time and had a reservation and were told we'd have a 15 minute wait. once we were seated things got worse. a dry martini was vermouth with a tiny bit of vodka,. even after being sent back once. and the food, is not very interesting, nor particularly wonderful. I’m definitely not coming back here again.

hope it gets better
we were really excited but what was offered on the menu... very tempting comfort food presented in small plates... but what came out was bland bland bland... just a little salt somewhere in the prep would have helped. everything tasted the same.. .like nothing.

Unpolished Gem
Zach... get a clue, dude. The place just opened. If you know anything about a brand new restaurant, you'd know that it takes some time. What do you expect when you go on their opening week. The fact that you asked for a Grey Goose martini shows me that you don't have a clue what is good (GG is the worst "premium" brand there is... Smirnoff is better tasting.) Asking for it is like going to Paris and eating at McDonald's. Step outside your comfort zone, try something new, and enjoy it.

My experience there was awesome. Yeah, they have some issues, but the drinks were awesome (Purus Organic Vodka KILLS GG in all taste tests) the food was delicious, and the ambience/"novelties" were really fun. Plus the music selection was awesome. I'm pretty certain that it will be around for a while. I loved it!

A dissapointment...
My wife and I were excited to try Bloomingdale Road last Friday night. We have a precious nine month old and have not been out much since her birth, so we were primed to have a good night. Unfortunately Bloomingdale Road was quite a disappointment. It simply does not know what it is. At the bar we asked for a Grey Goose Martini...they did not have Grey Goose, or Stoli, or Belvedere nor any other premium name brand Vodka you've heard of. Okay, not that big of a deal. We were seated and ordered our meals: a salad, a "snack", and two small plates.

The salad, snack and one of the two plates arrived in about twenty minutes. We ate them. They were okay at best, but again, we were easy to please. But my meal, the second small plate (duck), took another fifty minutes to arrive. When it finally did, it was in a glass canning jar mixed with meat jelly accompanied by three "bread wafers". Visually, it was lacking, and the taste left much to be desired. After one bite I asked for the check and we called it a night. All in all, Bloomingdale Road does not know what it wants to be, and its service staff, with the exception of it's professional demeanor bartenders, seems to be in need of some serious training. It's loaded with gimmicks (your check is delivered in a book and your bread is baked in a soup can) but has little staying power beyond the novelty.
