EXPENSIVE!!!!! One of the more expensive bars in Washington, Shadow Room comes nowhere close to living up to its hype. Its a pain to get in, a pain to get drinks, and a pain to find somewhere to chill. Music is so-so and location is in the middle of nowhere. If you're out and about cruising for chicks and like uggos or fatties, then this is the place for you!!!

This place is not at all what people make it out to be. I had a group of 8 people who were all on the guestlist trying to come to a friend's b'day party. We showed up at 1030 and were made to wait as it was "too early" to let the "public" come in and only those who reserved tables or were VIP could come! Then, we told the front hosts that another friend will be coming who is also on the guestlist. He showed up at 11:01pm and explained who he is. One of the bouncers told him to go on in, and the other black bouncer with a real crappy attitude stopped him and said he's a minute late and there was no way he's going in!! What an A****!! Plus, a normal mixed drink will cost you $16!!

Shadow Room is brand new and so it attracts the best crowd. The crowd is attractive although the drinks are pretty expensive and the staff is, so-so (in terms of friendlyness). The club/lounge itself is not that big but the music is great. The dj plays a little bit of everything. The crowd is diverse, which is always good! Personally, I love going out here!! They don't allow just anyone to come in...so dress up and look your best!

I went to the shadow room last sat service was terrible, employees very rude, drinks way to expensive and there is absoluley no where to hang out at, plus the music was terrible.

I went to the Shadow Room last Friday to try something new. The club is nice and the crowd is okay, but the bartenders are terrible. I was waiting for service on two separate occasions while the bartender served other customers. My friend and I were at the bar before the other customers and we were ignored the first time and the bartender even apologized for her ignorant behavior. The second time...the bartender just straight up ignored us. I am a very friend and approachable person…maybe they thought I wasn't going to tip as well as the others at the bar; whatever the case, I was eventually served by a male immediately at another part of the lounge. I do not plan on returning to this lounge due to its poor service.
