Ever tried to catch an ice-cream truck? Try catching an ice-cream cart. Odeon, a ‘good-old-days bistro’ has already gained the respect and fidelity of local patrons. Recently, it has added an extra sweet touch to its 1930’s style—a cart of home-made ice-cream, standing in front of the restaurant. With the mother venue’s prohibition-times décor (you expect Humphrey Bogart to sit down by the counter) with dark, rich colors and slowly turning ceiling fans, this neighborhood spot has a long story to tell, since it’s been there since 1980’s. You almost want the ice-cream person to wear that funny square-shaped hat and a name like Harry or Scottie. But even if he doesn’t, their ice cream stands out considering the area, or even beyond; mostly due to its softness and level of creaminess. Both, the actual ice-cream and the cones are organic. Though they only offer two to three flavors a day, the lack of choice is compensated for with full, natural taste.
