wow i feel a bit intimidated...lol Is there a guy at the door with scissors, just in case a girl's dress is not SHORT enough????

After going to this club I've developed a horrible condition called tinnitus...what it is is just ringing in your ears.. I think the time that I went was its last night of being open... I forgot the DJ's name but obviously the music was too loud.. just a Warning though if u people ever intend on going out i beg of u please use ear plugs if not ....u will suffer

Well im not gonna say the club is cheap but all worth going to. I don't come out every weekend like I used to but I get in all the time thanks to Soler. I never wait more than 5 min, If u ever wanna go in get on his list.

BY FAR THE WORST CLUB I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! IF YOU WANT TO BE OVER CHARGED FOR DRINKS AND BOTTLE SERVICE COME HERE! IF YOU WANT TO SMELL "WEED" ALL THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT BEING SMOKED BY PEOPLE THEN GO HERE! TALAY SUCKS!

wow i heard a lot of rumors about talay being horrible and being racist also. but i also heard a lot of rumors about that fernando mateo guy to and it seems that from all these reviews about his club that its true what people say about him. its sad what money can do to people especially your own kind of people. but like julio lugo commented below me i also dont recommend anyone show support to Talay or Fernando Mateo. Spend your money where it is appreciated

i went to Talay this past weekend on a saturday night with a couple of my friends whom all have Professional careers such as Dentist, Doctor, and Assistant Principal at a elementary school. I was the only light skinned hispanic in the group but my friends are all african american. we were all dressed to impress to perfection but we were denied entrance once the door staff saw my friends, there excuse for denial of entry was "you are dressed to casual." this statement was used to not offend my friends, but they basically racially profiled my friends which i thought was ridiculous and not right. the very next day i wanted to find out who the owner of this establishment was from a friend whom is very well known in the night life industry and he told me "fernand mateo owns it." i did my research on this gentlemen and now i know why this club acted in such a way. He is the president of the NYS taxi federation and was quoted saying "it is ok to racially profile customers that taxi drivers pick up in the street." He already has a bad reputation as a racist and in my opinion is a horrible business man if thats the way he treats customers. I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO TALAY!

I went to Talay a couple months back and it was horrible, yes i did have heels on and a fiitted dress the way i normally go to any other club or lounge. I mostly attend private events and exclusive clubs and have never been turned away from any of them, EVER. However I am an African American female and they denied my homegirl and I entrance even though we were attending a friends bday celebration who had bottle service. They asked us were we having bottle service and we told them no and that our friend does and she was inside already. Our friend even came out to get us and they still wouldnt let us in. Yes I do believe they are racist because all the girls they told to stand on the side were African American including myself. Their was a short baldheaded ugly smurf looking guy wearing a pink bowtie who looked like he was the one who had the last word on who to let in talay or not. It was the worst experience ever and if you arent Hispanic I suggest you stay away because you dont fit their club image. HORRIBLE!!!!!!

i went to talay with a couple of my friends and co-workers. We were denied entry at Talay because we did not want to Purchase bottles. I am a Doctor and i make over $350,000 a year and i don't drink that much. For a Night Life establishment to force people to do things is completely WRONG! The guys behind us on the line were completely out of dress code but being that they asked for table service they were let in right away. That to me is being a hypocrite and very money hungry. and for the promoter that wrote that last comment under me i can only imagine what you went through.

i do not recommend anyone go to Talay! and there are a couple reasons why: When people throw out the words "talay is racist" they are not lying, it is very true. if you are a women and arent under 130 pounds they consider you fat and wont let you in. if you are a group of guys whom aren't dressed up to there "standards" they wont let you in but if you show them you willing to buy bottles they will welcome you with open arms! they charge you $14 for a lil sip of henny! they ROB promoters and are very Hypocritical! I KNOW THE IN'S AND OUTS OF TALAY AND I CAN MENTION MORE BUT JUST KNOW THEY ARE BAD BUSINESS! THEY DONT APPRECIATE s#*! !
