You’ll see the cars heading to La Playa a mile away, so prepare for long waits even for valet. The tough door is hard to penetrate even with a table reservation, despite the best efforts of gracious doormen. Mini-chandeliers illuminate the interior, where dancers dressed in short-shorts and crystal-covered bras gyrate in various corners underneath the tent-like room. The club comes complete with an outdoor space for smoking and relaxing amid palm trees, and a limited amount of tables positioned around tented love seats create an ideal romantic ambience for the well-heeled crowd. Germaphobes beware: the women’s bathrooms are located in a trailer on the side of the club.
