Not worth a second thought
We went for a friends birthday, had the whole thing planned ahead of time, had her birthday cakes delivered earlier that day, and were still not let in. When we first got there they said our name was on the list but they neglected to hav a table ready for us- an hour and a half later they still hadn't let us in. They messed up and we paid for it. The only way they were going to let us in was if we paid for 2 $350 bottles. THEY WERE SCAMMING US ON MY FRIENDS BIRTHDAY. The bouncers were extremely rood and it was a complete waste of what was supposed to be a great night out.

Think again
I went to this place with a friend in order to attend another friend's birthday party. We expected it would not be a problem once we told them her name. Instead they said her party was filled to capacity. The funny thing was people came in after us and were allowed to get in. Plus people were leaving. The birthday girl's friend tried to get us in but instead the bouncers at the door gave us dirty looks and turned away to carry on a conversation. We were dressed up too! If you want to have a good tim in NYC there are plenty of places where you can get better treatment without having to go to the ends of Manhattan to find it. The bouncers are snobs, the place is waaay overpriced, and the people suck. If you are thinking about a party or going to a place to have a good time make sure you look in the mirror first because if you are not tall, Caucasian, skinny, wearing designer outfits and look as if you are a snob you might have made a trip to meatpacking district to be played. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

This place really sucks! It is organized all wrong, planning a party here does not go as planned. I had friends have to wait outside in the pouring rain for a (VIP party in which I payed 700.00 Just to start) The night ended with about 8 grand put in and the service was lazy, trashy people..Little girls, the bouncers are rude and very unfriendly! The people at the door do not know what they are doing and the promoters do not do their job as they advertise..I would not recommend or ever return to this place!!
Re: Grand Opening
Thanks for the brunch tip, I will definitely have to check that out. As for their grand opening, I was surfing through Going.com and came across their event. Apparently they have specials going on all week including a free drink if you rsvp@hudsonterracenyc.com. I'm sure their website has more details or here's the link at Going: http://newyork.going.com/event-595913;Hudson_Terrace-_Grand_Opening_on_Cinco_de_Mayo?comment_thread=268129#comment_268129

Some Good Brunch
So I attended brunch at Hudson Terrace this past weekend and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great as was the food. The crowd was young and chill and ready for the summer weather. I loved being able to enjoy the sun out on the patio with a sangria in hand! It was a bit crowded and warm, I hope they adjust the surroundings, add some shaded areas to accommodate the impending summer, but who can control the sun? I still dug the vibe.
The food spread ranged from omelettes, to french toast, to fresh smoked salmon. I'd recommend the oven roasted potatoes!
They also mentioned that they are having their grand opening on Cince de Mayo....anybody have info on that? I'd check it out to see how the place functions as a bar/lounge.
Upscale and classy--CHECK IT OUT!!
This place was super classy. We had our opening night party here with some pretty intense industry people and everyone was impressed!??The rooftop offers some great views of the Hudson with the Intrepid as a kind neighbor. The staff was dead set on making our party what WE wanted and provided the best of service. ??I hear that it will be opening to the public in May so I am interested and excited to see this venue become a staple in NY nightlife because I'll be there! It's definitely higher class than a lot of bars/lounges on the Lower East Side. So if you want something new and different, I'd recommend!
