Nederlander Theatre New York, Venue Description

Nederlander Theatre - The Nederlander Theatre gets its namesake from a wealthy family that owns several theaters on Broadway. Built in 1921, this was once located in the former epicenter of New York theater, when everything was happening downtown. Today, as many things have moved uptown, the Nederlander is the only remains in its original location at 208 41st St and is the only theater still operating below 42nd Street. Many famous plays have passed through here in production including "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", "Julius Caesar," and currently "Rent."
