The Round House - Ladies behind the bar, football on the big-screen televisions—no wonder The Round House has a male-dominated clientele that can rival most gay bars. This curved, fairly small pub boasts a central Covent Garden location, outdoor tables, the all-important fruit machine, and a menu of nachos, cottage pie, chicken tikka, and burgers. The large bar in back also serves up Pimms, wine, and the usual beer suspects (Guinness, Foster’s). Décor is limited to a handful of historical memorabilia, wall sconces, windows looking out onto the tourist parade outside, and a giant England St. George’s Cross flag but that seems to be enough for this crowd. This circle pub can come off as a bit square, but a fella could certainly do worse if wants to watch the big match before heading home.
