Warsaw - Brooklyn has been able to break the dominance that Manhattan had on having notable live music venues because of places like Warsaw in Greenpoint. A part of the Polish National Home, Warsaw would seem more like a place to catch a polka band than cutting edge rock bands. However, some of the hottest rock bands around play their music to hordes of delighted hipsters. Numerous punk, alternative and indie rock bands, both legendary and up-and-coming, have rocked the house. In keeping with its Polish connection, the food served at the shows comes straight from Polish cuisine. The menu includes pierogis, kiebalsas, and potato pancakes and all dishes are $5. Of course, there is also a fine selection of Polish beer on hand. Check out their website for future shows.
