AXE Lounge at Dune - In line with the Hamptons club protocol of annual redesigns,  hits the East End this summer with a familiar structure (former inhabitants include Cain Southampton and Jet East) and a glossy new finish. The operators include Marquee’s dream team, Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss, as well as promoters, doormen and VIP hosts from the regular NYC hotspots including Cain. The new décor of oversized fishing lures and distressed fish netting is also of Marquee taste, courtesy of the club’s interior design alum. “We did a quick renovation of the Jet East space for the summer season,” says SLDesign’s Steve Lewis, “a chic nautical Talented Mr. Ripley meets Ralph Lauren with a twist of whimsy.” The sunken dancefloor is still the main space for bopping on the banquettes or checking out the swanky gals who are. Expect to see some tabloid fodder each weekend including socialites, celeb DJs, and their entourages.
