Opera - Definitely the largest dance spot in town, Opera has become the trendiest nightclub in the city. Many internationally-acclaimed house, dance, and trance DJs play here, as well as the best Montreal has to offer, but the main attraction is the club itself, one of the first in town modelled on the Miami or Los Angeles scenes. The décor is also reminiscent of high-roller digs in the United States, with beautiful white couches, mostly around the V.I.P. tables, high slick beige walls, and bonsai plants strategically placed around the club. But be careful, it takes big bucks to rent a table, so come prepared to spend. Once at Opera, bottles are everywhere, so one may feel out of place by not competing with the neighbour! Here’s the kicker; Opera is open only on Saturdays and Sundays, and there are always lineups.
