Mile End Bar - If you’re not careful, you may miss it! Although off the beaten track, Mile End, located on one of the busiest party streets in Montreal, attracts all segments of the city’s nightlife, from young professionals to neighbourhood party hardies, and everyone in between, all below the age of 35. The second floor main room is open from Thursday to Saturday, with house and electro featured. The V.I.P. area is one of the nicest in town, but you do have to be on the guest list to squeeze in! Although music takes center stage, most people come for the people, with a high number of regulars making a regular stop on their way to or from somewhere else, which explains why the place gets packed later than elsewhere. The street-level pub, dominated by tables, is more laid back. The room may also have a DJ, playing more commercial or avant-garde material, creating a different mood than upstairs. Even those who don’t really want to go out end up here for a drink, just to be seen.
