Drive the extra miles for the NOKIA at LA Live!
I went to the Kenny G concert at the Grove Nov. 21, 2010. I've seen Kenny G many times, (and enjoyed every performance). I probably would have enjoyed this one as well, but this was my first time at the Grove and they made it near impossible. It's a small venue so everyone has a good view, but their seating for anyone who is not buying dinner is horrendous.

I grew up in Anaheim but have since moved south and don't get back to Anaheim often, so when I do I like to visit an old favorite for dinner, so I `opted out' of their dinner/show table-side seating and selected `Tier5' seating. It was awful! They scrunched us in on these little banquet style chairs place side-by-side as close as possible. Even the smallest 'Coach class' airline seat is much more spacious. We were so packed in that I could feel the keys in the pocket of the guy siting next to me.

You cannot enjoy a concert if you're so uncomfortable that you cannot relax for even a minute. It was horrible! Everyone tried to make the best of it, but we were all so scrunched together that we couldn't move. Nowhere to put your drink... You have to put your arms together and squirm up whenever anyone moves down the isle. It is just terrible!

BTW... the `tier' in front of me was 2/3's empty!

First and LAST call for Me, Grove. I'll drive the extra miles for the NOKIA at LA Live.
