Pencil Factory - Greenpoint's Pencil Factory finds a way to embrace each season, with outdoor seating for warmer weather and large picture windows for watching more inclement weather from the comfort of a homey room and a rough-hewn wood table. Adding to the comfort factor are the 10 taps and happy hour special featuring a dollar off Brooklyn beers. Selection, whether it be beer, wine, or liquor, is varied enough to keep even the fussiest of regulars (of which there are many) happy; unfortunately, the same can't be said for the paninis, which have fallen in number from 6 to 3. The bar, located across the street from an actual pencil factory, is as welcoming toward dogs as it is toward people, so don't forget your Claritin.
