Union Hall - At first glance, Union Hall seems like a really cool bar. Upon further investigation, deeper research, and several rounds of heavily-consumed drinks, food, and sports, one's initial impression is confirmed: it’s a really cool bar. This friendly neighborhood spot meshes comfortably into its Park Slope location and offers locals two things that Manhattan counterparts only dream of--space, and a bocce court. The front library section welcomes with open lounge-chair arms, while the bar provides ample space to enjoy one of many finger-licking dishes--the Union Flatbread, a sweet-n-tangy concoction of duck, onions, and goat cheese ($9) holds steady as the snack of choice, while the Triple Threat ($11) satiates bigger stomachs with three loaded cheeseburgers. In addition to the draft and menu assortment, the back garden and bocce court offer additional cures to the winter blahs. If all else fails, bop downstairs and check out one of the many shows playing at the most entertaining place this far south of Williamsburg.
