Wow, this place is SCARY. Betty’s Laughing Horse Tavern has been around for over 20 years, but is somehow still hidden among its surroundings. Neighborhood drunks can be found at this family-owned establishment at all hours of the day, or its least during hours of operation (11am-2am). The Laughing Horse is very small in size but manages to offer billiards and darts, along with a country music-filled jukebox. The décor is that of your basic dive bar that’s proud of its history and NASCAR, with nostalgic license plates, posters and banners. This biker/redneck hangout has a very limited drink menu consisting of only beers and soda (yes, that’s ALL they serve), however, the price is rather cheap at $2.00 for domestics and $3.00 for imports. And don’t let the intimidating outside scare you too much, the patrons are quite friendly.
