Heights Bar & Grill, The - This UWS restaurant is a well-trafficked hangout for Columbia students and the young at heart. A sister restaurant to Carne and Toast, The Heights boasts a down-home feel and the kind of lively atmosphere you'd expect from a college haunt. You won’t tell by its post-modern décor it's a Mexican restaurant, but red shrimp burritos, roasted veggie & goat cheese quesadilla, and calamari Frito are just few of the many delicious items on the menu. If you’re feeling adventurous try their buffalo wings which come in mild, hot and inhuman. Most items are priced around $4-6 and take-out and catering services are also offered. A good selection of beers on tap and tasty margaritas are served at the bar. The place is ideal for a Friday night get-together with friends, but its top floor is intimate enough for a first date.
