Frogg Pond Tavern, Rehoboth Beach

My BF and I went to this tavern on two consecutive occasions.....

SATURDAY AUG 16TH: The two bartenders appeared to be confused and disorganized. Were they not able to handle the crowd? Or was it because their credit card machine was down.... I ordered 4 drinks and the girl FORGOT? to take my money. (I guess that's a good thing.... LOL) Their stress level appeared to be high and since they were unable to handle this one customer, they ended up having security kick the lady out. I think the situation could have been handled better. They even called the POLICE!?

SUNDAY AUG 17th:We went back to this bar for karaoke. We ordered food this time. Their mussels were horrible!! And the girl behind the bar was such a B*TCH!! She was the same girl who kicked out the customer the night before. Why should we put up with that attitude? I wanted to punch her myself and probably gotten escorted out by security. Of course we left NO TIP!!

NEVER AGAIN!!

I adore the Frogg Pond. I always have fun when I go there. Great music at night and something different each night. Good food. Straights and gays.

The review below sounds like a bitter lesbian that doesn't like change. This is still one of the busiest bars/restaurants in town and for a good reason. Lines still form on busy weekends. Awesome wings, great live entertainment, fair prices and relaxed atmosphere. Don't understand the tourist comment either. The place only hires locals and bends over to treat locals like gold. We even get VIP passes to enter ahead of the tourists if there is a line.

Since the new owners took over this place just isn't the same. The new guys are trying to cash in on the tourists and think they'll get a bigger piece of the pie if it's not know as a lesbian bar. The bathrooms are small, dirty and never work properly. I went over memorial day and they act like they're doing you a favor by letting you come in. This place is a dive that's trying to compete with other places in town and can't.
