Haro - This Spanish tapas restaurant is hard to find at first because it doesn’t stand out on the street. But once inside the colorful flags, framed pictures featuring Rioja Alta, friendly service and good food make it a can’t miss place. The tapas, pintxos, and entrees are reasonably priced, and there are even great drink deals Tuesdays (half price Spanish beer, wine, mixed drinks and sangria), Wednesdays ($3 Kalimotxos, a drink made of red wine and Coca-cola. Don’t wrinkle your nose, it tastes like sangria....it’s just, uh, not), and Thursdays (half price pitchers of Caprichosa, $2 San Miguels). Every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm listen to a flamenco guitarist duo play, and make sure to check Haro’s website for other musical guests or wine tastings. This place definitely deserves an ole!
