This super trendy hotel bar is a bit odd. The design, the lighting and the surroundings are excellent, but it is neither comfortable nor inviting. The bar staff are attentive but not particularly friendly, and the prices are high. However, despite the desperate feel to the Hudson, it remains busy night after night with a crowd that reflects its neediness. Be warned; at midnight the ropes go up, the security arrives, and the whole thing turns into a catfight between those deemed not “cool” enough to enter and the doorman with who dishes out insults like candy.
