Cave, The - Upon entering, the eponymous Cave is underground and cavernous, appearing to be whittled out of stone. However, after walking down the rather long staircase into the venue, you find that the place isn’t as interesting as you originally thought. Despite the sizeable main floor, but The Cave’s lackluster set of DJs makes dancing a hard thing to enjoy. The large nook functions as a more private party area or VIP room for lack of a better word. And although drinks are moderately priced, there isn’t much drinking since most of the crowd is of the under 21 set. The lax dress code at this Astoria haunt means that large portions of the clubgoers are rejects from more strict nearby clubs.
