Aroma - With its deep, chocolate wood, tangy yellow walls, and exposed brick, this neighborhood wine bar is inviting to the eye. Fortunately, the staff is even more inviting than the decor. Owners Alexandra and Vito treat patrons like long-lost relatives and, in turn, the clientele is as diverse as your typical extended family. The solely Italian wine list is as varied as the customers who ooh and aah over it, and the college-aged daughter enjoying the daily Apertivo special (4 select wines and buffet-style appetizers for $18.50) feels just as comfortable as the eccentric uncle enjoying a $180 bottle and selections from chef Christopher Daly's masterful menu. With shelf upon shelf of bottles, this library of wine is a great place for novice palettes and old hats alike to learn.
