Happy bday to me!
i had my 21st birthday and enclave and i was very dissapointed!!! first of all i was promised a bday package that included free cover when we got there they made all the guys pay $20 after they had already denied them to go into the club once we got in the bartenders always got me the wrong drinks. i ended up taking my shoes off because the dance floor was too slippery and two securtiy guys grabbed me by my arms and got in my face saying that i had to put my shoes back on. im very upset because there was no need for any of them to be grabbing me! we just ended up going to bar chicago where i had a BLAST!! thanx for nothing enclave!

Better off at Soundbar or any other club or bar in the area ENCLAVE SUCKS!!!
I don't normally go to Soundbar, b/c been there n done that. But it was so much more fun than Enclave. I have been to Enclave when they were new. However, they pulled the same stunt (ref - josephbbl) with me and the three girls that I went with. I don't think the dumbo who stands out with the list can actually read. She pretends your name is not on there even if it is. Not going back to that sh#thole..Spent a ton of money there for watered down drinks made by ametuers in the past. When ppl. stop going there they will have the free drink crap again. Pathetic idoits!

Avoid this place
(Note: I noticed many negative reviews on line after I got back from my unfortunate experience with this place. Which should be a big hint to readers here). I signed up for the free RSVP guest list. I thought that the website may have had a problem, since I hit submit several times, but didn't receive an e-mail confirmation. Nevertheless, I took the time to invite several well dressed ladies. We got there before 11 p.m. They couldn't find my name on the guest list. I thought that perhaps since I took the trouble of getting others involved the guy at the door would comp me. Instead he asked me to pay $20 each ($100 for all of us) or or buy a $45 drink package for each. I asked that perhaps he could "cut me some slack" and let us in, since it was obviously a technical issue with the web site. Instead, he chose to embarrass me in front of my guests. We left.

wtf??
I went there with about 10 guys and 20 girls for a birthday night. I went to the bar and told the girl I want a three olives grape and sprite. She looked at me and completely ignored me. Later she came back to my attention and I ordered a grey goose and sprite. She completely ignored me again! So I shouted WTF!! what kind of drink can I get?? She responded that they only have 7up. I told her to make it with that, it's the same sh!t. She told me if I talk back to her again, she would get me kicked out. How dumb do you have to be? By the way, 4 shots of greygoose is $45. I'll never go back there again.

Used my credit card, they tried to ARREST me....
I went there for my birthday, bottle service. When it came time to pay the bill, they swiped my credit card. It came across their credit card machine a 24 hour 800 number to call to verify the charge before releasing it.(It is a step in protecting from identity theft, not uncommon) The club guy said he will not waste his time calling the 800 number that I must find other form of payment or I will be arrested, then Chicago PD showed up. All he had to do was take 2 minutes out of his time to verify the card and he would have received the funds. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

Rude Staff!
t's funny b/c I read the reviews and I thought the bad experiences that people have wrote about enclave were maybe biased, but it was actually right on the money. I've been to practically every club in Chicago and I can honestly say that the bouncers at Enclave have to be the most rude staff ever. We had a large party with us, even RSVP'ed on the guestlist and when we got there on a Saturday night, there was no line. Once the guestlist girl told the bouncer we were on the guestlist he whispered to her to stall our group so we would have to pay full admission. He let half the group in and tried to make everyone else pay $20. The inside wasn't bad, it looked pretty nice. I actually overheard a guy inside complaining that he had to pay $40! Which is absolutely ridiculous. The bouncer thought he was all tough and tried pushing the guys back, as if he was all important but there wasn't even a line! We asked to speak to a manager and of course one of the other bouncers says it wouldn't matter, etc. The guestlist girl even told someone in our group that she thought it was totally unfair and wrong of the bouncers to do that, but obviously she doesn't have the ability to do anything. Our group left because it put such a damper on our night and it had nothing to do with the money, but just the fact that the bouncer was a complete pr*ck. We went to Reserve, which was probably the best thing that could've happened to us. The staff there was so friendly and they let us in quickly even though it was pretty crowded inside. Thank you Enclave, for saving us from having a terrible night at your no-class club.
