Sarabanda Astoria, Venue Description

Sarabanda - Dress up. Sarabanda isn’t necessarily "formal," per se, but it’s sexy and sleek; this is the kind of place where if you’re dressed like a tool, you’ll stick out like a sore thumb. (Probably more than a sore thumb, actually—those don’t really stand out when you think about it). The point is: it’s a solid place. Bring your A-game.

I've been there many times and I really love it.It's a nice place and has a good enviroment all the times.I also love the live music and the DJ performances.

Pretty good if you don't mind mostly salsa...
....and not the new age Puerto Rican "salsa pop" one might hear at a Copacabana or LQ's. They play good old school stuff & salsa romantica you would hear in Cali Colombia. Not really a spot for singles since to be honest, most of the girls that frequent there are stuck up. Gorgeous but stuck up. I've only seen one fight since I've been going there and it involved me and a drunk guy being obnoxious with my date. Better go with your own little crew and everyone will have a good time. Good music, good drinks, good time.

Sarabanda is good for me because I know how to dance mambo. You can't go if you don't know how to shake what your moma gave you............
Yo la e pasado riquisimo ayi, pero el club es carinoso, but I have lots of fun. La feria de Cali event will be on December 14, 2007

Great place to dance salsa but be careful!
Sarabanda is a great little colombian spot in Astoria close to NYC. The music is awesome! Authentic salsa with an occasional bachata tune from time to time. However, GUYS BE CAREFUL! This spot is frequented by many "serious colombian characters." When hitting on a girl be careful her man is not a drug dealer. You could find yourself in a heap of trouble. The other negative about sarabanda is the set up. Its a great place to go with a group of friends but not a good place to go if your looking to hit on girls. Everyone in the place is grouped off into "clicks" and no one will talk to you. Overall rating is "very positive." JUST BE CAREFUL!

Salsa Spot
Sarabanda night club is the place to go to dance SALSA. Although most don't dance it proper, the music is banging.

Awesome Place and Dancing Environment.

Only one advice, please call before you head over there specially if crossing bridges to get there. Last two three time I went, cover charge fluctuated between $15 to $50 to get in ...
