Vault 350, The -
One of the best places for live music in Long Beach, Vault features hip hop stars, KROQ-friendly rock, and random early 90s acts you probably forgot you liked (Fishbone anyone?). The green-lit bar and spacious main floor accommodate smaller clusters earlier in the evening and a sometimes packed house later at night. Its wide stage flanked by projection screens and a solid sound system make it a respectablee concert venue, but not much of a “scene” in its own right. While the crowd changes each night depending on the acts, the place stays consistently laidback, and even when more high-profile acts are in the building you probably won’t get too ruffled by the bouncers. The upstairs mezzanine serves tasty food and the bartenders are pretty and friendly, but the drinks are expensive so consider pre-partying.
