The Black Monkey Bouncer is rude trying to be tough guy.. .smh.. just horrible.. it would be a better place without them

3 bouncers jumped my boyfriend for no reason on sat night..... the owner and manager took forever to call the cops claiming that the special services aka fake cops were the real newark p.d..... my boyfriend spent the night in the hospital for nothing.... this place is dangerous ..... callin newark abc dept. Asap and filing a complaint whoever has experienced something like this here as well should call 973 733 6445... newark alcohol beverage control... place is over packed... customers are over served... and bouncers touch anyone the want... which is ILLEGAL!!!

The place sux, I have never seen the most rude security ever. Do not park your car on the club's parking lot if you care about your car. I had a huge scratches on my car after paying $10 and they told me it is my imagination. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!! Horrible Place

They remodeled i think either this year or last year, a lot different and a lot better. Good music mixed crowd. Coat check , always a cover charge. awesome vip areas. top 40s / club music. parking lots decent price. you can either park at the actual place, down the block before it at the gas station, or around the block in a lot. not sure on the dress code.

This is not the best place in Jersey. The place was ok. One thing you have to remember is where the place is located (newark) and many of your assumptions will be right. I thought that there was a dress code, but after i got inside it was obvious that they were just letting anyone in the place, and just giving some people a hard time. Jeans, sneakers, T-shirts is ok. It is a moderate crowd of inmature young adults stucked in their Juvenile years. There will be fights in the club, but there is a army of body guards all over the club to handle that. Drinks were average. The place is located were Tio Pepe Restaurant used to be. The Guitar Bar is far better and a lot more successful crowd.

The best place in New Jersey!!!!!!! Friday/Saturday!!! It does not matter the place is HOT!!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. I WENT THERE LAST NIGHT AND HAD TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR FOR MY COATS. THEY LOST MY FRIENDS BELONGINGS AND HELD NOONE ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT. TOO MANY FIGHTS BROKE OUT AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY LET ANY KIND OF TRASH IN THE PLACE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS PLACE.
