Lando's, Corning

I've been to Landos a few times, and to other clubs near by. Landos plays some remixed hip-hop for the younger crowd, from what I've seen on the nights I've been there. Through the grapevine I've heard that it wont be long until it's down for good. It has a really laid back atmosphere, and I've seen a line outside the door more than once. But I've never been there where the crowd was overflowing. Inside, it's furnished like a cheap bar. Not fancy at all, just really standard. The lighting is pretty crazy. Not ambient, just flashy and bright.

This was THE place to be back in the mid - late 90's. Lines wrapped around the corner to get in. The women were hot and snobby and the men were drunk and horny. Lando's claim to fame back then was the Friday night open bar for $5.00. I haven't been in for a while, but am planning a trip up there soon and will definately stop by.

Just wondering what they have done with the Greenhouse section in rear with the windows? Also what happened to Tom and Hilda?

I've known Joey and Donny for over 25 years (OMG...it's been that long lol). The only place I use hang out....Hey Joey....rememember all the ketchup I use to use LMAO!!!

Lando's is the only dance club in corning. Yeah there may be a lot of miners that go there but they keep it well maintained and a lot of people go there. By the way they have great price for drinsks and you also see alot of well dressed people in there. You don't see people coming in there looking like bums.

This place has a lot of potential, but not much attendance. The only time there are more than thirty people there are on Thursday nights when it is over/under night. On Thursdsays, you can find all of the local high schoolers with fake ID's that say they are 18, dancing it up on the dance floor and anxious to spread them for a good lookin guy who will give them the light of day. Most of these girls, however, are from the ghetto of Elmira which is about thirty minutes away.

It is a good place to hang out and lounge around (pool tables, darts, lots of space), but don't expect a hoppin party.
