Jax Bar & Grill -
This cozy jazz bar is the place to unwind after a day's work. With nightly live entertainment , as long as you are a jazz fan, Jax will please. The "Cheers" decor definitely makes you feel as though "everyone knows your name." The common theme, besides jazz, is wood and lots of it, from the long bar up front, to all of the booths and tables in the back. The walls are crammed with pictures of jazz musicians and mirrors, and a festive touch is the christmas lights which hang throughout. Between the dining area and bar is a tiny stage with a piano, ready for the next group to perform. The bar also sports two large flat screen televisions, so as to include all sports fans. Not exactly the best place for a tasty meal, Jax does have good "bar food", better known as chicken drummettes and potato skins. The jazz bar attracts the more "mature" crowd as they include an "early bird" special. So, for any young, hip-hop loving, ultra trendy types, this ain't exactly the best spot to make an appearance. Otherwise, Jax is cool for any old school "cat" who is looking for a good time with great jazz music.
