Terrible...
After making a RESERVATION for 8 people at 7:30 we were finally seated at 9:20, only after asking the people occupying our table if they minded giving up our RESERVED table. They were very apologetic and considerate and didn't mind at all, since they had finished eating 45 minutes earlier. They were talking and drinking, something they said they would have been happy to continue doing at the bar, had they known the table was reserved. When asked, the manager stated he asked them about giving up the table....according to the considerate guests who relinquished the table, they stated they were never asked and would have been more than happy to move.
The manager was not only terrible at his job; he is a liar as well!
The manager was inconsiderate not once offering us a drink, appetizer or anything except a hard time over a mistake that was clearly the establishments fault to begin with. The overall experience of the night was one of terrible disappointment. Not only did we wait for our table, but had we known the food and service would have been so bad, we would have gone to McDonalds and ate before returning to watch a band and celebrate a friend’s birthday.
Without a doubt, this establishment may be one of the most unorganized and poorly run in the entire Ohio Valley. Waiting for a drink from the bar was at least a 45 minute wait. When you have a cover band from Pittsburgh that has never played the area before, It may be a good idea to expect it to be busy!
The next time we go to this establishment to see a band, we will not only eat before arriving, we will make sure to drink plenty as well, dying of thirst at Generations is a definite possibility!
