Cotton Eyed Joe, Knoxville

I love the Joe. It may not be as big as alot of places in bigger cities but it's a nice place to go and have fun with friends. It's a safe place and it's a country bar but they don't mind playin other than country so it's alot of fun and the staff there are awesome!!!

This place may have a deal made with the police department. A bounce causes a issue with one of the patrons. He and the patron go outside. Everyone that is curious and goes to see what is happening will get slammed against the wall and arrested for PI even if you have not had a drink. The police are there waiting with a wagon to load up onlookers, and the patron that was the cause of the event walks away. Figure it out.

I have no idea why people go to this place! It is loud and not even a true country music bar. There is more rap and free style than country music played. Boy Bill, the DJ, is a aging wanna a be, that is gross and trys to pick up all the girls there and he has to be at least mid to upper 40's. No room to really dance, just a small square in the center of the room. We came up expecting something really great...doesn't compare to a real country dance club. Save your money unless you are looking for a place to placed on the "meat" market and groped all night. Wasn't what we call fun.
