The Royale Lounge Inc. is the diviest of dive bars. With its 70s wood paneling, year-round Christmas garlands and 75-year-old bartender (who is actually the most inviting aspect of Royale), this bar is for those adventurous enough to withstand the stares they will receive from loyal regulars. The pool table, crane machine and dartboard occupy most of the space, as the Royale is narrow to the point of feeling a bit cramped. Thursday night is home to the Dart Tournament, where the locals come out to support their own. The Royale Lounge does not serve typical bar fare, but does offer an array of snacks on hand, from dill pickles to Slim Jims, for those feeling peckish. The Royale Lounge manages to be a cross between the Star Wars cantina and the Island of Misfit Toys, only less magical.
