Tony's Cocktail Lounge, Glendale

2 Reasons that this small, tucked away, inconspicuous bar is one of my favorite 5 bars in the Phoenix area:
1- It is about as friendly of a bar as you could ever imagine. This city has the worst hospitality among its citizens of any of the 7 states that I've lived in. Tony's is one of the few places where the people who don't know each other are just as friendly as the people who do. The reason most bars are no fun is because every girl in them is a total B*!(# , and 1/2 the guys are ready to start a brawl with some guy that they don't know just because they have him out-numbered and they want to feel tough. Tony's is one of those places where you can relax and enjoy yourself because you aren't worried about any of the girls around you freaking out about something idiotic or any of their boyfriends throwing a sucker punch in your direction. It is how a bar SHOULD be.
2. This bartender there named Brittany is an absolutely perfect example of a "girl next door". Sure, there are a lot of hot bartenders in the world, and especially in this city. There are few that make great drinks though, and even fewer who don't stop the smiling "act" as soon as they get very busy behind the bar. Brittany does both just like a good bartender should.
