Raven Grill - The Raven Grill is the first place any Washingtonian will bring up when you mention the phrase “dive bar,” although its status as a true dive has to be called into question given its exclusively young and hipster clientele. Still, this teeny Mt. Pleasant hangout is a welcome relief from the area’s more pretentious bars, and it provides the divey goods with cheap beer, roomy booths, an old-school jukebox, and the requisite abominable bathrooms. The Raven doesn’t serve food but will let you order in from neighborhood take-outs--ask the bartender for a collection of menus.
