Harry Ramsbottom's Inc, located at 5260 W Irlo Bronson Meml # 112, has an atmosphere that’s bordering on dive. Don’t take a date there—unless she’s cool as hell and is super low-maintenance—but it’s a good place to chill and unwind. -Review of Harry Ramsbottom's Inc

A true taste of England
I have to say My friend and I were at Harrys this past Sat. and had a wonderful time as alway! we make it there a few times a year, and were impressed that the waitress remembered us! The owner and his wife were there, what a wonderful couple!! they chatted with us as well as another patron that was there at the time, we were made to feel like we were regulars there. The food was wonderful, I had the Shepard's pie and my friend the Steak and Mushroom pie, and of course Speckled Hen Ale. We live about 45mins from there but have decided to make it one of our fav. places to go. I have been to England and I have to say it is like going to a pub in a small town. If your an American please remember THIS IS A PUB bit a 5 star restaurant, a few crumbs on a table never killed anyone that I know of and if you dont want to pay the service charge order at the bar and pick it up yourself! Lord no wonder Americans are not well liked across the pond!! I give Harrys 2 thumbs up !!! Keep it up guys!!!!

LOUSY food and LOUSY service!!
I had a bad feeling from the moment we sat down in this place, but my husband seemed to have his heart set on having some fish & chips. The first thing we noticed was that our table had lots of crumbs on it. The waitress walked over, and my husband asked if we could have the table washed. She stood there & stared at the table for awhile as if she couldn't see anything wrong with it and he was an idiot for even asking. Finally she walked slowly off (with an attitude) to find a rag. After wiping the table, she asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for iced tea, and she stated that this was an English place and therefore they didn't sell iced tea; only hot. Since it was quite a hot May evening, we did not wish to have hot tea. This also made no sense to us, because every English place we've eaten to date around Orlando has iced tea. Since I don't care for soda, I asked her what the price difference was between soda and juice, and she looked at me with a dumb look and asked what I meant. Since I was speaking in English and so was she, I didn't understand what I could do to make myself more clear. I noticed on the menu that it said they added a 16% "service" charge for food brought to the tables & asked about it, and the waitress told me it was essentially them adding the tip on. I wasn't too thrilled with this arrangement, since a tip means "to insure proper service", so how can you be sure you will get good service when the tip is already a forced issue? However, I didn't complain about it. We then placed our order for two plates of fish & chips. When she brought the plates out and plopped them down in front of us, we noticed that our "chips" (french fries) were burned to a crisp. I'm not talking a little burned; these were crispy critters, hard and dark brown. My husband complained about them being burned, and the waitress ran into the back room. We thought she was probably getting a manager, but she reappeared, claimed to have tasted a fry in the back room, and said they were NOT burned contrary to popular opinion. She said the difference was merely that they had used Russet potatoes as opposed to the normal Idaho. I told her that my mother used to make homemade french fries while I was growing up & made them from Russets, and they NEVER looked like that. She again stated that she had tried a fry and they weren't burned. She was pretty ticked off at this point, so we asked if she could just bring our bill. I was hoping she'd take the price of the "chips" off of the bill. She came back with our bill and said, "I took the service charge off for you." Since the service had been lousy from a very grouchy, inadequate waitress, we didn't add the "service charge" back onto the bill for her. We just cut our losses, paid, and escaped. We will NEVER set foot in that place again as long as we live, because who wants to pay over 30 bucks for some mediocre fish, burned fries, and a few beans out of a can? I hope this review will save others the hassle and expense that we went through to find out the hard way what a lousy place this is to eat.
