Nope. While the Dream Hotel in South Beach seems too good to be true…it is for real. With one of the best restaurants in town in the lobby, and easily the best pool party of the week on the roof, you couldn’t ask for more. And what a location - right behind the former Versace Mansion, which even today is considered the epicenter of South Beach. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope some day you will join me and then all of us will get some sun.

The Shelborne Hotel in South Beach, was reborn in as cool a way as Lady Gaga arrived at the Grammys (which was in a glass egg if you didn't know). All white on white (it worked for the Delano), the newly renovated Shelborne threw the best grand opening/Art Basel party of the week. Three stages - one with 50 disco balls hanging from it, another a 100-feet long with 20 costumed dancers along it, and a third in the center of the pool where the DJ was located - made the whole event a sight and sound sensation. Even the high diving board over the pool was used as a performance art space. It looked like the whole hotel was invaded by Gaga lookalikes, both male and female.

The entire hotel as art, fashion, music, worked well. The only visual that could have made the evening even more fabulous would have been to see Keith Menin, the owner of the hotel, dressed as Lady Gaga. Now that would have been something.

You ain't seen nuttin’ til' you’ve seen the “tvist” the new bistro “Kutsher’s Tribeca,” puts on traditional Jewish delicacies. The unique restaurant was brought to life by Zach Kutsher - grandson of Milton and Helen Kutsher, who owned the famous “Kutsher’s Hotel” in the Catskills - and my brother Alan Wilzig, a maven of all things trendy and innovative.

No one will think twice about asking for a doggy bag (even if they don’t own a dog). If only your mother or grandmother cooked this well…you “vouldn’t” have started eating tref (non kosher food) to begin with. Ess Kinder (eat children) and don’t forget to finish your vegetables…they’re beyond delicious.

Last week I got to see two of the best singing sensations ever - Keith Sweat and Boys II Men. They were so much more romantic and soulful than today’s rap or hip-hop stars. These guys got really emotional onstage and the audience responded accordingly. No wonder so many women in the audience were throwing their bras onstage. If I were a chick, I would have thrown my panties too.

Dr. Lenny Roudner - dressed as a wizard for his Palm Island Mansion Halloween Bash - pulled off the best Halloween party in Miami Beach by putting a hex on the rain clouds just powerful enough to keep the party going strong, all through the night, despite a sprinkle here and a sprinkle there.

One thousand four hundred people came and went and all had the time of their life. Since he is one of the most famous boob doctors in the world, all the women wore costumes that showed off their cleavage. That alone would have satisfied my lustful Halloween cravings, but what made it even more special were the mechanical creatures that popped up and scared you, the imaginary ghosts in the mirrors, and the actors and actresses dressed up as monsters much creepier than Frankenstein or Dracula. The food was fantastic and the progressive house music as good as any SB club.

My date Angelica and I went as leopards, but I’m not telling you who scratched the back part of my costume apart with their claws.
