No, it’s not the name of the latest video game. Rather, the best description for WMC, Winter Music Conference in Miami.  Every year in March, Miami Beach hosts the most important dance music conference in America. One would need a calculator to tally the amount of DJs flooding Miami during this time. You could actually trip over one just taking a leisurely stroll on the beach. DJ’s are everywhere, in hotel lobbies, by hotel pools, on hotel rooftops, on stages erected along the beach, in every trendy restaurant and in every store that caters to a hip, edgy clientele.

As usual, everyone will immediately assume I’m a DJ when I tell them I have a record out that’s in the top 20 of this week’s Billboard Dance Club Chart. As always, I will tell them I’m not one, only to see the disappointment in their faces that I am merely the singer on the record, not the DJ who produced it. There was a time that being a singer meant something important, but not at WMC, where I’m made to feel like a second-class citizen in the shadows of these superstar DJs. Bottom line, if you’re not a DJ then by default you are either a DJ groupie, or worse yet, just a plain old fan of dance music. As a result of this hierarchy, sex with a DJ is the ultimate status symbol. I’ve got an idea…I should intentionally deceive the girls by wearing a T-shirt that says, “DJs make better lovers - they spin under the covers!”

STK in the Gansevoort Hotel in South Beach rocks on Monday nights. Unlike the steakhouses that cater to older, cigar-smoking, Wall Street types and their trophy wives- STK, a new breed of steakhouse, delivers amazing food, a slew of male and female models, and a get-up-and-dance DJ. With that combination, one feels like they are in a cool club that happens to serve delicious steaks, rather than just a great steakhouse that happens to have music playing in the background. The brainchild of a famous French promotion team, the atmosphere is one of food, fun, and flirting. Well done! Not the meat, rather the party.

While clubs from LA to NYC advertised Paris Hilton’s 30th Birthday party and an appearance by ”America’s favorite party girl” herself, nothing could compare to the über-exclusive private birthday party she threw at the most famous party palace in Hollywood way on top of the Hollywood hills, that was attended by her entire family and filmed by the Oxygen Network for her new reality show called “The World According to Paris.”

The home, formerly owned by the CEO of Rockstar Energy Drink, is now owned by my friend, Val Kolton, CEO of the hugely success V-Moda headphone company. It’s truly one of the coolest homes on the planet. A huge, futuristic, concrete, glass and steel structure, the home could serve as a space station in a Sci-Fi movie or the residence of a robot family instead of one inhabited by human beings.

My friends and I were unaware that Paris had instructed her guests to stick to a Moulin Rouge costume theme so the girls and guys I was with, including myself, felt totally out of place not dressed like French showgirls or French nightclub owners. Fortunately, “former New Yorker” Allison Melnick, the Queen Bee of all hot nightclub parties in LA, recognized me and made me and my friends feel at home even though we weren’t dressed the part. Paris wore a ravishing bright red dress, which was perfect considering the party was held one day after Valentine’s Day. Viva la Valentines Day! Viva la France! Viva la Paris Hilton!

Yes, this could have been the headline on the front page of the Miami Herald after I forced myself to go to the amazing, not-to-be-missed, Valentine's Day Lingerie and Lace party,  hosted by Dr. Lenny Roudner, Marc Puleo, and Aubrey Easterlin, (think the Three Musketeers, only these three are known for their “cockmanship” rather than their “swordsmanship.”) I’ve been friends with all three gentleman for many years, and I’m sure had I ever owned a large home instead of just an apartment in Miami Beach, I would have qualified to be the 4th musketeer.

I started off the evening very achy, not feeling well, thinking it was from just having played my first competitive game of basketball in years, but then I felt myself developing a sore throat and fever.

Yet, being a professional partier I held in there, literally watching hundreds of the sexiest women on earth parade by. If Victoria’s Secret had sexy “devils” instead of “angels,” these girls would have qualified. Brazilians, Italians, Colombians, Argentineans, Russians, and more. Name a country and it had at least one half-naked bombshell representing it. After observing more than an eyeful, I departed early, knowing that if I got any sicker I would miss the opportunity to follow up with some of the more flirtatious ones the next day. And we wouldn’t want that to happen…would we?

Several months ago a talented television producer named Phil Berger contacted me via Facebook and asked me whether I would let him interview and film me for a new show he was producing for WealthTV called “Social,” that starred Danielle Staub from the “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Apparently, Danielle was too much for the other Real Housewives of New Jersey to handle and the producers of that show had no choice, but to let her go. Since she had developed a huge fan base and a cult-like following, she was immediately picked up by another network to host her own show.

Her fans on WealthTV’s  “Social” would see her each episode visiting the homes of wealthy individuals and attending high society charity parties. Her “desperate housewife” image would have to be left behind and exchanged for that of a “classy socialite.”

When she got to my Castle in the Hamptons, I gave her the royal treatment and made sure she felt like a “fairytale princess” every inch of the way. Just when she thought she had found her “knight in shining armor” (me, of course), she was shocked to find out that I had a real dungeon in The Castle.  When I put her in the jail on wheels her laughter was hysterical, but I’m not sure she got the joke. She only relaxed when I told her that the S&M equipment in the dungeon was not for kinky sex play, but rather a prerequisite to complete the historical authenticity of a typical medieval castle. I explained to her that a dungeon, along with huge gates, a moat and drawbridge, are all necessary parts (fire breathing dragons are optional). Knowing now that she had nothing to fear from me and my dungeon, Danielle turned out to be a terrific sport, a delight to hang with, and sexy like hell.

If you have Verizon/Fios or AT&T U-Verse as your cable operator, DO NOT MISS the Castle tour I took her on, the Gucci party we attended together, or the Covet nightclub we partied at.

The show “Social” airs for the first time Wednesday, February 9th on WealthTV at 8PM and again at 11PM. It's then repeated this Saturday, February 12th at 7PM and 10PM. Only by watching, will you start to comprehend the Medieval Madness I go through every summer.
