pretty dead

lot of tourists, due to it's location, older crowd. definitely not a halloween spot although I can't speak for other nights. quiet dining area upstairs. a mix of nice and grumpy/ strange people

retreat spot

didn't get to sample the food here but drinks were good, great environment and good live music. may be a little quiet for a weekend night for some. good option if you're looking for a more laid back scene

if you get sick of a song you can always move to the next room. each room has it's own bar. however, the place does get crowded on weekends!

great architecture, attractive people. small but spacious. a little isolated from other night clubs (a few blocks north of tenjune and a few blocks south of marquee, etc.), although in the general area (17th and tenth).

cool architecture, service a little sloppy

The place has a really nice feel to it and is located right in the heart of Sag Harbor. Great place to take a break from walking around in the hot outdoors during the summer. My Euro friends complained about the service. Although they're always quick to criticize, wait staff in the Hamptons generally does not match up to the Big Apple.

very quiet, at least earlier on on week nights, but a good spot to go to before hitting the dance clubs, or if you need a break from that

one of the nicer clubs in meatpacking

Very elegant looking, takes a while to get going on a week night. as with all clubs, you´ll get in quicker if you walk in with a promoter, and admittance is easier for ladies. the crowd is pretty attractive and the music´s great

just get past the doorman

Tenjune's known for it's strict door, so the first time I made it in after making sure to dress well, etc. and walked to the club with a promoter's group right at midnight. The selection process is basically the bouncer picking out the more attractive girls and asking who she's with before letting her in. The second time I just happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to give it a shot. My hair was greasy and my dress wasn't as flattering; I had to name-drop to get in. Inside it's pretty crowded and cozy. There were fewer attractive people than I expected, after hearing about it's rep and the door experience.

pretty and popular, even on a weeknight

I got in at 2 am on a Thursday night because I was with someone who knew someone; it's a strict door type of place. Once you get inside it's beautiful (check out photos)! I think the two guys I met there are both European; one is definitely from Madrid. There's a little outdoor area by the DJ booth where you can smoke.

not a bad pick during a recession

25 cent draft beers during Friday's Happy hour, from 6.30 to 7.30 pm, marks the beginning of each weekend at Patty O's. The bar has ten large screens and three beer pong tables in the back room. There are opportunities to guest bartend and to win unlimited beer for a night. It's a laid back place so no need to worry about what you're wearing. Although located in a quiet neighborhood, this spot can get rowdy!

Each of the three floors offer something a little different, although all are packed especially on weekends. The second floor is cozier (equipped with a fireplace in case you're there in the winter) while the rooftop is obviously great for the warmer nights. Like most midtown venues, this isn't a dance spot but certainly good for after work, catching up with friends without going downtown or grabbing drinks while watching the game.

Location

If you want to be in the center of everything, this is a good place to unwind after work/ pre-game, especially when the weather is nice (they have outdoor seating). As it is a restaurant/ bar type place, it starts up earlier in the night than your meatpacking clubs. If you're not getting food, the bar area out back is for you. Good music, not overly-crowded, hot male bartender!
