Attention all bedroom DJs…it's your time to shine.
We're all familiar with Simon Cowell, the man that's constantly in search of the next big voice in music. Well…now he's turning his attention to the rising stars in the club as he's recently announced that he will be partnering with Jada Pinkett-Smith and the Fresh Prince's Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television to launch a new DJ talent show.
"DJ's are the new rock stars," Cowell said in a statement. "It feels like the right time to make this show."
There's no title for the show just yet, but it will be a part of the stable of reality competition shows that Cowell already has under his belt, including The X Factor, America's Got Talent, American Inventor, and American Idol.
He recently reacted to the news of the DJ show on Twitter, as well as shaded light to his role:
"Excited to announce new DJ show. I will NOT be judging this show. Excited to be working with @jadapsmith. Stay tuned!" he tweeted.
