Not today, but on Sunday, October 16, 2011 there will be. Because, on that day, the President of The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality is flying in from San Francisco to South Beach to award my mother an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Erotology and Sexology. That’s right, for enhancing the cultural life of the country and educating the world through her World Erotic Art Museum, she is being formally recognized for her achievement. A six-year anniversary party for the museum will follow the ceremony. I can’t believe I have to start calling her “Doctor Naomi.” Doctor Ruth, you’ve got competition!
