Listen up night owls, if you’re daring enough to give those beer bottles a break, you’ll be rewarded with a sweet surprise.
Sake, known as Japanese rice beer (or wine, depending on who you ask), is becoming one of the most widely demanded staple drinks. Light, highly alcoholic, and brewed with warm spices, Sake perfectly
compliments sushi, a popular nighttime grub for those with roaring appetites after breaking a sweat on the dance floor. To discover why sake is in high demand this season, consider ordering a Silk Lantern from
Haru, New York’s beloved modern Japanese restaurant and sushi bar. This new cocktail highlights light sake, as well as a smooth mix of Calpico, a milky soft drink from Japan with hints of vanilla. It’s a perfect mixer for light sake, especially when combined with
icy vodka, lychee, and yes, more sake. As its name implies, the Silk Lantern is a velvety smooth elixir that’s certain to light up your night, no matter what day of the week it happens to be.
