Cocktail Hour: SKYY Starlight

The heat of summer is still blazing, so have you had your icy cocktail yet? If not, consider one tantalizing elixir that’s perfect for lounging by the pool or savoring a juicy steak at a friend’s BBQ. The SKYY Starlight is more than just a snow cone for adults. This bold thirst quencher packs plenty of ice, tangy lime juice, fresh mint, and bone chilling vodka. Created by Adam Wilson of Beretta in San Francisco, SKYY Starlight is a spiked slushie that puts humidity in its place and jumpstarts any bash. Not only is SKYY Starlight easy to make, but it’s always a delight to drink over and over. No doubt about it, this frozen treat will light up any party. You’re welcome.

Ingredients
1.5 oz. SKYY Vodka
0.75 oz. Lime juice
0.50 oz. Simple syrup
1 oz. Hibiscus or cranberry juice
1 Mint sprig

Preparation
Muddle all ingredients except hibiscus/cranberry juice in the bottom of a tall rocks glass. Add half a glass of crushed ice and stir well. Add more crushed ice until tightly packed just over the rim of the glass. Then, pour hibiscus or cranberry juice over top. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Serve with a straw.
