by Stephanie Nolasco
07.23.2012

The steamy summer season is on its way, so how will you stay cool? Chill out with a sexy, more sophisticated ice-blended drink that has enough alcohol to provide a feel-good buzz. As the weekends begin to sizzle, bars everywhere will be debuting artic-cold cocktails that’ll have everyone celebrating until sunrise. One frosty, thirst quenching treat that’s certain to entice patrons this year is the Blood Orange Freeze. As its name implies, the Blood Orange Freeze features succulent slivers of ripe blood oranges dipped in X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, a sensuous blend of smooth French vodka, mango, and passion fruit. The result is a crimson delight with light rum and jewel-hued Grenadine that satisfies with every drop. Make no mistake, this icy number is the perfect addition to a successful summer soiree. Savor the Blood Orange Freeze tonight before word gets out that it’s the official cocktail of summer 2012.

Ingredients
3 oz. X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 oz. Light rum
½ oz. Grenadine
1 Blood orange slice

Preparation
Blend ingredients in a blender with ice. Garnish with a slice of blood orange.
