One of the biggest events to take place last year in Miami was the massive one-off event featuring the
Swedish House Mafia boys, Masquerade Motel. Halloween never had so much buzz surrounding it because of this event. The musical spectacle was such a massive success that event organizers have decided to do it all over again, only during the most popular time of the year for nightlife and music in the city, March's Ultra week. This 5-day amalgamation of events is highlighted by the colossal
Ultra Music Festival, but the organizers of "The One Night Stand at the Masquerade Motel," were ballsy enough to host their event on Saturday, March 26th, in the thick of UMF.
It seems as though Ultra will be affected more by this event, than vice versa. Currently, the Swedish House Mafia is one of the most sought after electronic music acts in the world, and early bird tickets for this event sold-out in less than 20 minutes. What's this mean? Well, chances are that the crowd at UMF may look a little bit slimmer on Saturday. While the lineup for the
Masquerade Motel last October was a bit slim, this time around it's a different story. A-Trak, AN21, Armand Van Helden, Calvin Harris, Dirty South, Kim Fai, Max Vangeli, and Pete Tong are just some of the names listed to play on March 26th.
While the venue is still to be announced, it's fair to say that there won't be as much room as Bicentennial Park. However, that doesn't mean that they won't pack out the event with as many bodies as possible. Everyone knows that Europe invades Miami this time of year, and they'll definitely want to be a part of this special one-off event.
