Since the rise of the nightlife industry, music has always been at the center of the scene. Whether the genre is house, electro, industrial, hip-hop or anything in between, the norm has become for clubs to be defined by the kind of music they play. Despite this fact, it’s rare that you'll find a club that puts their entire focus on music in general, that puts music in the spotlight. Chelsea’s Studio XXI is planning to do exactly that, and the asthetics aren't too shabby either.
Studio XXI channels the essence of a classic recording studio, with flat screen televisions, sleek interiors, antique mirrors, highlights of chestnut and exposed brick. All of the expected luxury of upscale New York is there as well, step through the crimson curtains, and lounge on the plush couches – you’ll feel like royalty. Studio XXI’s Chelsea location is no mistake. The neighborhood is synonymous with the New York music scene both past and present, and plays an integral part in the atmosphere at Studio XXI, as guests will enjoy breathtaking views of the cityscape that surrounds them from the many oversized windows.
If you’re ready to take in Studio XXI for yourself, then you’re in luck. Katrina Bowden hosts the Grand Opening party tonight with music by Jessica White, Sam French and Sinatra. Can’t make it out tonight? Make sure to stop in on the weekend for DJ Ani Quinn on Friday or Saturday Studio House Sessions with DJ Claudius Raphael.
