The Cure to Headline Bestival 2011

A recent Twitter post from Rob Da Bank revealed a slew of artists signed on to perform at the Isle of Wight’s legendary Bestival. This four-day music festival will include quite an assortment of musical styles. Among the people performing is: Primal Scream, DJ Shadow, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and The Cure who will be headlining. Other than those guys, it looks like there’s going to be a lot of electronic music artists in the mix as well. Katy B. will perform along with Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, and Boys Noize.

Rob Da Bank also announced recently that more acts will be revealed in early 2011. One can only imagine who will perform along with this lineup. Brian Wilson on the same stage as DJ Shadow sounds a little strange, but that’s the beauty of this festival; it attracts crowds of all cliques.

Bestival 2011 is scheduled to go down from September 9th through the 11th. The complete list of artists revealed by Rob Da Bank are as follows: Primal Scream, Brian Wilson, Crystal Castles, The Cure, Magnetic Man, Katy B., Robyn, Grandmaster Flash, Norman Jay, DJ Shadow, LFO, Boys Noize, A-Trak, Pantha du Prince, Omar Souleyman, and 65 Days of Static.
